After more than a decade of extraordinary leadership, Peg Sandel has announced her plans to transition from her role as Head of School. We are deeply grateful for her vision, dedication, and the indelible mark she has left on our community.
We are excited to launch a national search for our next Head of School — a leader who will build on this strong foundation and guide GIU International Christian Academy into its next chapter.

Our Search Committee includes representatives from the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, current parents, and alumni parents — ensuring all voices in our community are heard.

We are partnering with a nationally recognized independent school search firm to identify and attract the best candidates from across the country.

Fall 2025The Board of Trustees forms a Search Committee representing faculty, staff, parents, and community members.
Community Input
Fall 2025Surveys and listening sessions gather input from all stakeholders on the qualities and vision desired in our next Head of School.
Candidate Identification
Winter 2025–26Working with a national search firm, the committee identifies and screens a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates.
Interviews & Site Visits
Spring 2026Finalists visit campus, meet with community members, and participate in comprehensive interviews.
Selection & Announcement
Spring 2026The Board of Trustees selects and announces the next Head of School.
Transition
Summer 2026The incoming Head of School transitions into the role, working closely with Peg Sandel and the leadership team.
