GIU young learners working with Montessori materials in their classroom

True Montessori · Pre-Nursery to KG 2

A joyful beginning, rooted in faith

At GIU, the early years are a carefully prepared Montessori journey where curiosity grows into confidence and children learn to do more for themselves.

Through hands-on discovery, purposeful routines and caring guidance, children develop independence, concentration, language, coordination and a love of learning. Bible stories, prayer, worship and everyday character formation are part of this Christ-centred beginning.

Learning by doing

Children choose purposeful activities, practise them with care and learn to return materials ready for the next person. Teachers observe, encourage and guide each child at a pace suited to their development.

From practical life and sensorial exploration to language, mathematics, science, music and art, the prepared environment helps children build a strong foundation for the Cambridge Primary years ahead.
